With the Last Photos and the BdGram widget, you can choose to display your images as a list of thumbnails or as a slideshow.
The “Recent post with thumbnails” widget is very complete. You can choose to display any post type, (blog post, store, video, gallery etc..). If you choose the blog posts, you can choose to display the most recent or the most commented posts and you can even choose which category to display.
